Lucas Luetge picks up 10-out save Friday vs Red Sox
by Luke Monaldo | Sat, Jul 9th 8:37am EDT
Lucas Luetge pitched 3 1/3 innings, allowing no runs on one hit and one walk while striking out six to earn his first save of the year in New York's 12-5 victory on Friday in Boston.
Fantasy Impact:
Luetge dominated the Red Sox for the final 3+ innings on Friday night, recording six of his 10 outs via the strikeout. He also picked up the rare save in New York these days by someone not named Clayton Holmes and he definitely earned it at Fenway Park. Luetge carries a 2.70 ERA and 1.27 WHIP with 29 strikeouts in 30 innings across 29 appearances this season but is not fantasy relevant, with this being his only save of the year, outside of leagues that reward Holds of which he still only has six.
