Astudillo played in 17 games with ther Marlins, slashing .270/.289/.351. For a team unlikely to compete for a playoff spot, rostering a 30-year-old player without a position simply didn't make much sense. Expect Astudillo to latch on somewhere and be a viable bench player, though have little fantasy relevance.
