Fantasy Impact:
Cain characterized the move as a mutual decision, and it happened on the day he reached 10 years of MLB service. He had talked openly about retiring at the end of his contract this year, so it's unclear if he has any desire to latch on with another team this season. Cain was batting just .179 this year, so he's unlikely to make a fantasy impact even if he decides to continue playing this year.
