Zack Greinke pitched five innings, allowing no runs on one hit and zero walks while striking out four for Triple-Omaha according to Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star. (Lynn Worthy, KC Star)
Fantasy Impact:
Greinke has missed his two starts dealing with a right flexor strain but should be able to make his next one. Greinke took only 49 pitches to make it through five innings, retiring 15 of 16 batters he faced in the tune up start against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. Assuming Greinke suffered no setbacks on Sunday, he should be activated this week and make his return to the Royals’ rotation Friday in Oakland.
