Jonathan Loaisiga (shoulder) to begin throwing program Monday
by Luke Monaldo | Mon, Jun 13th 12:17pm EDT
Jonathan Loaisiga is set to begin a throwing program on Monday as he works back from shoulder discomfort as reported by MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch. (Bryan Hoch, MLB.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Loaisiga has been shut down since late-May as he deals with shoulder discomfort. Loaisiga returned to the team from Nicaragua on Sunday where he had been handling a family issue. A firmer timetable will be possible after Loaisiga resumes throwing but barring any setbacks, he could return in late-June/early-July. July is more likely since the righty hasn’t thrown in nearly two weeks. The 27-year-old had really carved out a role in a stellar Yankees bullpen prior to his shoulder issues so he should slot back into a bullpen that is in the verge of getting closer Aroldis Chapman as well. Monitor Loaisiga’s progress once he starts throwing again on Monday.
