Pineda's goal is to get a better feel for his slider, which places pressure on the finger he got surgery on. He continues to make his progress in his road to recovery. “I feel very close,” Pineda said. “I feel really good with my fastball and changeup, but they want to make sure everything is good, especially with my slider. Hopefully one more week and I can take a rehab assignment.”
