Chapman reportedly threw a pain-free session bullpen session from the mound on Saturday. He hopes to avoid a rehab assignment, but it will depend on how the bullpen sessions go. As Chapman continues to recover from left Achilles tendinitis, Clay Holmes has taken full advantage of his role as the Yankees closer.
