Seiya Suzuki will be shut down from any baseball activities for 5 days to try to reduce the swelling in his finger. (Meghan Montemurro on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Suzuki was at one point slated to return this weekend, but those plans seemed to have changed Saturday. Now we have a more concrete update on Suzuki's finger, which is still not fully healed. Cubs' manager David Ross mentioned that Suzuki "really wants to play", so it sounds like the rookie outfielder feels capable of playing soon. There should be an update toward the end of next week on his timetable.
