Cubs pitcher Alec Mills pitched five innings, allowing two runs on four hits, one walk, and striking out six batters in a 9-3 loss Tuesday to Baltimore.

This was Mills’ first appearance of the 2022 season as he was activated from the 60-day IL earlier in the day. Mills split time between the bullpen and rotation in 2021, carrying a 5.07 ERA in 32 games last season.
