Clayton Kershaw with strong rehab start; next outing will be with Dodgers

by Dan Harris | Dodgers Correspondent | Sun, Jun 5th 11:18pm EDT

Clayton Kershaw had a strong rehab start on Sunday with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, allowing one run on three hits and a walk over four innings while striking out six. According to Dave Roberts, Kershaw's next start will be with the Dodgers. (Jack Harris on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Kershaw went an inning longer than planned in his rehab start, and his success surely convinced Roberts and the Dodgers' front office that he was ready to return from his rehab assignment. The most likely return date for Kershaw will be Sunday against the Giants, and given that he threw just 59 pitches in his rehab start, he's almost certain to be capped at around 75 pitches in that start. The prudent course of action is to keep Kershaw on your bench for one more week, and then activate him once he gets through his start against the Giants and builds his pitch count up a bit.
