Shane Victorino has rehab delayed

Red Sox manager John Farrell said they are trying to get Victorino (calf) "through the final stages of physical testing" and have delayed the outfielder's rehabilitation assignment, the Boston Globe reports. Farrell said those final stages includes additional intensity and a lot of change-of-direction. (Boston Globe)

Fantasy Impact:

The Red Sox are taking their time with Shane Victorino's recovery from his calf injury. And when he is finally back with the team, he will probably be a part time or platoon player. Victorino's days of being productive for fantasy owners are over. If you have him stashed on the DL, he can be dropped.
