Patrick Mazeika went 1-for-3 with a solo home run on Saturday against the Mariners.
Fantasy Impact:
Mazeika is up with the Mets because James McCann is on the IL, and should be on the short side of a catcher platoon with Tomas Nido. He did hit 16 homers in 116 games once upon a time in Double-A, but he doesn't have enough power or batting average chops to make a difference. His defense won't force him to get more playing time than his bat allows, so even in NL-only leagues, he's not someone to be concerned about.
