Reiver Sanmartin optioned to minors after disastrous outing on Sunday

Reiver Sanmartin was optioned to Triple-A after his start on Sunday against the Rockies, during which he allowed six runs on six hits and two walks in 2/3 of an inning. (Bobby Nightengale on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The Reds needed to trim their roster to 26, and Sanmartin's 13.78 ERA and 2.27 WHIP made the choice to option him pretty easy. He does have a 4.76 xFIP, suggesting that perhaps he hasn't been quite as bad as his numbers suggest, but there's absolutely no reason to hold him now in any format.
