Kumar Rocker is close to finalizing a deal that would have him pitch in the Independent League within the next two weeks, though the team is yet unknown. (Kiley McDaniel on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Rocker is on track to begin pitching competitively in June. A report in January stated that he was preparing for the 2022 MLB Draft, splitting time between Knoxville and California according to his former coach at Vanderbilt. The former 2021 overall No. 10 pick of the New York Mets failed to sign with the team over injury concerns, but he should attract plenty of attention from MLB teams when he starts throwing again.
