Casey Mize (right elbow sprain) will not need surgery

Per Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press, Casey Mize (elbow) confirms that his first career stint on the Injured List will not result in surgery. (Evan Petzold on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Sidelined since April 14th after experiencing elbow soreness, Mize expects to return to the field shortly. The trip to the IL may be a combination of necessary rest and caution following abbreviated spring throwing. In two starts this season, Mize is 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA.
