Travis Wood tosses two scoreless inning Friday
by Dale Redman | Sat, Jun 6th 1:07pm EDT
Cubs reliever Travis Wood pitched two perfect innings Friday as the Cubs fell to the Nationals 7-5. Wood struck out three as he dropped his ERA to 5.19 this season.
Fantasy Impact:
Wood has settled into his long-relief role nicely as he has a 2.84 ERA with a 12.79 K/9 rate in 6.1 innings. Wood will remain in the bullpen until further notice. If the Cubs need a spot starter or a hole opens in the rotation, Wood is the most likely candidate to get the nod. Until then Wood does not hold much fantasy value.
