Fantasy Impact:
Baez will now miss his third consecutive game with the thumb injury and will need to be monitored throughout the weekend as the injury continues to extend his time away. For now Harold Castro seems likely to step into the lineup again at SS and is batting .300 on the year himself. With Baez being ruled out ahead of time for this one it appears the thumb injury may be worse than originally imagined and it is possible he misses more time ahead and managers should prepare for such a case.
