Greg Bird re-joins the Yankees

The Yankees signed 1B Bird to a minor league deal after the slugger opted out of his minor league contract with the Blue Jays. (MLB Network)
Fantasy Impact:
After showing some promise as a rookie with New York in 2015, Bird's production then fell off a cliff over the next few years. He was unable to hit above the Mendoza line from 2017 through 2019. It remains to be seen if he will earn a crack with the big league club once again.
