Francisco Perez gave up no hits and no walks during a scoreless inning in Friday's 8-3 loss to the Marlins.
Fantasy Impact:
The Nationals claimed Perez off waivers from Cleveland back in early-November. The young righty worked his first 6.2 innings at the big-league level last summer and is now trying to earn a spot in the Nationals pen. Perez was nothing short of sensational between the Double-A and Triple-A levels of Cleveland's system in 2021, putting up a 1.87 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and 13.9 K/9 across 53.0 frames.
