Danny Duffy and the Dodgers have agreed to a one-year deal with a club option for 2023. (Fabian Ardaya on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Duffy managed to avoid a second Tommy John surgery last year, but did have surgery to repair the flexor tendon in his left arm. He is targeting a return in June and the plan is for him to pitch out of the bullpen. Duffy was surprisingly good in 2021 with a 2.51 ERA and 1.21 WHIP, but to expect him to have a fantasy impact at his age, with his injury, in his role, and given his timeline, would be foolhardy. Wish him well, but not on your fantasy team.
