Jonathan Villar has reportedly reached a one-year, $6 million deal with the Chicago Cubs pending a physical. (Robert Murray on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Despite being one of the league's most versatile players, this will be Jonathon Villar's 6th team since 2018. Villar spent the 2021 season with the Mets where he slashed .249/.322/.416 while adding 14 stolen bases. The switch hitter provides neutral splits, but will have more pop from the left side of the plate.
