Jack Flaherty pitches another scoreless inning of relief on Sunday

A pair of injuries to his oblique and shoulder derailed what was shaping up to be a tremendous bounce-back season for the Cardinals ace. He finishes the regular season with a 9-2 record to go with a terrific 3.22 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 85 strikeouts in 78 1/3 innings. Flaherty will likely continue to work out of the bullpen as the Cardinals have advanced to take on the Dodgers on Wednesday in the National League Wild Card game.
