Ian Anderson pitched six-plus innings against the Phillies Thursday, allowing three hits, two runs (both earned), and three walks while striking out two. The Braves bullpen did their jobs, and Anderson's record improved to 9-5 on the year. He also earned a quality start. He threw 91 pitches, 56 for strikes, and carries a 3.58 ERA.
Fantasy Impact:
Anderson has a solid future ahead of him, and he has progressed this year, while there were some bumps along the route, he has shown some good things that tell most that more good things are in store for him. Tonight, it was important that he pitched well and got a boost of confidence heading into the playoffs, and he did just that.
