Scott Kazmir performs well in spot start
by Jon Mathisen | Thu, Sep 23rd 12:31pm EDT
LHP Scott Kazmir took a no-decision on Wednesday when he allowed one unearned run on four hits with three walks and three strikeouts over four innings in the Giants' 8-6 win over the Padres.
Fantasy Impact:
Kazmir was recalled to make this start in Johnny Cueto's place and did an admirable job on the bump. He provided four solid innings and came back out for the fifth but struggled before recording an out. The one (unearned) run against him came with a catcher interference in the bottom of the fifth inning. The veteran hurler now owns a 4.09 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, and 10:4 K/BB ratio over 11 innings this season.
