Taylor Widener gives up two runs over five innings
by Jon Mathisen | Braves Correspondent | Sat, Aug 28th 12:06am EDT
RHP Taylor Widener took a no-decision on Friday when he surrendered two runs on five hits with three walks and four strikeouts over five innings as the D-Backs lost to the Phillies in extra-innings by a score of 7-6.
Fantasy Impact:
Widener pitched well enough to give the D-Backs a chance to win the ball game as he only allowed two runs over his five innings. Bryce Harper swatted a two-run homer off him in the third inning but that was it. He did issue three free passes but minimized the damage overall. He owns a 4.28 ERA and 1.39 WHIP with 64 strikeouts over 61 innings on the year. He's got a date with the Padres at home in his next start.
