Mike Foltynewicz allows two homers, picks up another loss

Rangers starter Mike Foltynewicz had another poor outing against the Mariners on Thursday. He allowed three runs on six hits, including two homers. The 29-year-old struck out six batters through seven innings but earned the loss as Texas ultimately fell to Seattle by a score of 3-1.

Foltynewicz dropped to 2-11 with a 5.66 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and .269 OBA through 23 games this season. He has given up a whopping 33 homers while walking 31 batters and striking out 86. The right-hander is a miserable 1-8 with a 6.27 ERA over his last 15 outings.
