Fantasy Impact:
Davis spent 13 seasons with the Orioles and the Rangers in his career. He crushed 295 homers with 780 RBI across 5,630 career plate appearances, including a 53 homer campaign in 2013. According to Dan Connolly of The Athletic, “the Orioles will pay all of Chris Davis' salary for the remainder of his contract. However, the $17 million owed in 2022 (not including $6 million deferred) will be spread over several years so that the Orioles don't have to pay a lump in 2022.” The 35-year-old hasn't played all season due to a hip issue. Davis’ hip injury reportedly was more severe than initially thought, and the veteran first baseman decided to hang up his cleats.
