LHP Caleb Smith took the loss on Sunday when he allowed five earned runs on three hits with five walks and three strikeouts over 1 2/3 innings in a 13-0 loss to the Dodgers.
Fantasy Impact:
This was a forgettable day for Smith and the D-Backs as they were blanked by Los Angeles. He issued a whopping five walks over his one-plus innings pitched and allowed all five runs in the second frame. The poor outing raised Smith's ERA to 5.04 with a 1.39 WHIP and a 99:47 K/BB ratio over 85 2/3 innings (30 appearances, 12 starts). He'll get the Padres on the road in his next start and should be avoided for fantasy purposes.
