Rio Ruiz draws start at first base

Infielder Rio Ruiz, who made his Rockies debut on Tuesday, started at first base against the Padres on Thursday. It was his first start at first base since 2019. In the end, he finished 0-for-2 with a walk and strikeout. Colorado ultimately fell to San Diego by a score of 3-0.
Fantasy Impact:
Ruiz is now slashing .170/.257/.298 with six RBI, 10 walks, and 30 strikeouts over the course of 34 games with the Orioles and Rockies this season. He was hitting an impressive 54-for-172 in Triple-A prior to his call to the majors on Tuesday.
