Benny Montgomery selected No. 8 overall by Colorado Rockies

The Rockies have used the No. 8 overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft on prep outfielder Benny Montgomery.
Fantasy Impact:
Montgomery is a 6-foot-4, 200-pound outfielder out of Red Land High School in Pennsylvania. He has good bat speed and incredible pop, as well as impressive defensive metrics. His best trait, however, is his blazing fast speed, which has garnered grades of 80 from some analysts. There is a lot to like about Montgomery, though the Rockies will surely be looking for him to swing and miss less frequently as that has been a concern in the past.
