John King lands on 10-day injured list

The Rangers have placed left-handed reliever John King on the 10-day injured list with left shoulder inflammation. The placement is retroactive to July 7th. In a corresponding move, Texas promoted outfielder Jason Martin to the majors. (John Blake on Twitter)

King has been solid out of the bullpen, going 7-5 with a 3.52 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and .233 OBA while walking 12 batters and striking out 40. He has allowed 10 runs over his last five outings (14 innings).
