Kyle Zimmer works two innings as an opener

Kyle Zimmer allowed three hits and striking out three across two innings during Friday’s 5-3 win over the Red Sox.
Fantasy Impact:
Zimmer opened Friday’s game after being mainly used in high-leverage situations this season. He threw two scoreless innings and was replaced by Kris Bubic in the third inning. It’s unclear if Zimmer will be used as an opener going forward, but the 29-year-old has pitched well this season. Zimmer owns a 2.03 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and a 27:10 K: BB across 26 2/3 innings in 2021.
