Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Cody Reed underwent thoracic outlet syndrome surgery on Wednesday and will miss the rest of the season. (Marc Topkin on Twitter)

Reed will miss the rest of the 2021 season after undergoing surgery on Wednesday. He owned a 3.72 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, and seven strikeouts across nine 2/3 innings in 2021. Reed is expected to be all systems go for Spring Training in 2022.
