Santana drew his second start of the season on Saturday and labored through three innings. He was removed in the fourth frame after 47 pitches. The 38-yeat-old owns a 3.26 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and a 12:5 K: BB across 19 1/3 innings in 2021. Santana is not scheduled for another start next week and it’s unclear if the Royals will use him as a starter or reliever in his next appearance.
