José De León pitched well in his first start against the Pirates with five innings pitched while allowing three hits, two earned runs, and two walks with nine strikeouts. Then he got lit up for six earned runs across 4.1 innings with nine punchouts against the Diamondbacks. José De León flashed his sinker/changeup combination that both elicited a whiff rate above 33%. In 15-team leagues, managers could still hang on for 1-2 more weeks or start him for potential wins, strikeouts, and ratios.
