Nick Margevicius was roughed up in game two of the Mariners doubleheader Tuesday against Baltimore, allowing six runs (two earned) on six hits across 3+ innings with four strikeouts and one walk.
Fantasy Impact:
The defense did not help him, but Margevicius was still roughed up by the Orioles. After two shutout innings and the Mariners scoring four runs in the top half of the third inning, Baltimore got to him for four runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning. The Orioles loaded the bases with one out when Margevicius struck out Trey Mancini for the second out of the inning, but Maikel Frankel hit a bases clearing double down the third base line before Ryan Mountcastle drove him in with a single to tie the game. Margevicius took over James Paxton's spot in the Mariners six-man rotation, who is set to undergo season-ending surgery.
