Veteran left-hander Gio Gonzalez has announced his retirement from baseball after 13 years in the majors with the Athletics, Nationals, Brewers, and White Sox. (Gio Gonzalez on Instagram)

Gonzalez was in camp with the Marlins this spring. The former first-round pick was a two-time All-Star, two-time Cy Young candidate, and one-time MVP vote-getter. He ends his career with 131 wins, 1,933 innings, a 3.70 ERA, and 1,860 strikeouts.
