Fantasy Impact:
After colliding with the first base umpire on Sunday, a subsequent MRI has revealed that Martinez has suffered a torn meniscus and will require surgery. Mets' manager Luis Rojas expects the 32-year-old to miss approximately four months, making the Mets' push for free agent Maikel Franco all the more urgent. Martinez will hope to continue his stint with the Mets after the All Star break.
