Jose Martinez twists left knee on freak play

Jose Martinez, who was playing first base, bumped into the first base umpire after he tried to make a play on a hard hit ball down the line. He twisted his knee in the process and will have an MRI tomorrow. (Anthony DiComo on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Mets manager Luis Rojas admitted the injury was 'concerning in the moment,' as Martinez had to be helped off the field after the play. Martinez is still trying to earn his spot on the Mets' Opening Day roster. If the results of the MRI are at all serious, it's unlikely Martinez will be on the field for the Mets on Opening Day.
