RP Jeremy Jeffress has been released by the Washington Nationals for "personnel reasons." (Jon Heyman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
After posting a 1.54 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and 17:12 K/BB ratio to go along with eight saves over 23 1/3 innings in 2020, Jeffress has been released by the Nats. Prior to the start of spring training, there was some speculation that Jeffress only received a minor league deal as a result of his "past issues" dealing with marijuana. Jeffress is now a free agent, and although is K:BB ratio is concerning, Jeffress could still help a team in need of bullpen reinforcements.
