The Indians and right-handed reliever Blake Parker are in agreement on a minor league deal. The pact is non-guaranteed but carries $2.5 million in potential incentives. Parker was reportedly deciding between three offers, including one major league deal. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
At 35 years old, Parker will provide Cleveland with a low-risk veteran presence. He is set to join the team for Spring Training in hopes of securing a bullpen role in the majors. The eight-year MLB veteran posted a 2.81 ERA over 16 innings with the Phillies last season. He allowed just five earned runs on 12 hits while amassing 25 strikeouts and nine walks.
