Steve Geltz goes two innings in first career start
by Jamison Malasko | Sat, Apr 11th 9:37am EDT
Geltz only pitched two innings in a 10-9 loss on Friday night. He fired 35 pitches, allowing a run on two hits, a walk and a wild pitch. He also had one strikeout.
Fantasy Impact:
Geltz was a last second start for the Rays and it was expected he would only throw a few innings. He was relieved by Erasmo Ramirez after two innings of work. The Rays were hoping Ramirez would be their fourth starter but he gave up seven runs in relief. It is possible with Ramirez terrible outing that Geltz could get another start but I would take his starts as nothing more then a spot start until the pitching staff gets healthy.
