Daniel Murphy announced his retirement from baseball. (SNY)
Fantasy Impact:
The 35-year-old hit .236 with a .608 OPS for the Rockies in 2020. His two-year stint with Colorado was disappointing, but in hindsight we know it was the end of the line for him. Murphy caught fire with the Nationals in 2016-17, hitting over .320 in both of those seasons. He also enjoyed a breakout in the 2015 postseason while with the Mets. Murphy retires as the only player to homer in six straight playoff games.
