The Dodgers have reached an agreement with 36-year-old reliever Brandon Morrow on a one-year minor league deal. (Jeff Passan via Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Morrow has been out of baseball for the past two years, having last pitched with the Cubs in 2018. He was a very effective reliever with the Dodgers as recently as 2017 (and pitched well with the Cubs in 2018 with a 1.47 ERA in 30.2 IP) but struggled with injuries during his tenure in Chicago. Morrow is a low-risk signing for the World Series Champions who continue to stockpile quality arms in their bullpen year after year. The right-hander can be ignored for now in fantasy leagues but keep his name on your radar if he makes the club and proves to be effective, as there could be a path to fantasy value should Kenley Jansen stumble again.
