Kim Ng hired by Marlins, becoming first female GM of an MLB team

Well, this is awesome. Ng becomes the first female GM in Major League Baseball. She has been knocking on the door for quite some time now, interviewing for the Dodgers' GM job way back in 2005. “Of course I’m disappointed," Ng said at the time. “But I think it is groundbreaking that a woman even interviewed... Next time, it may turn out different," Ng said back in '05. She inherits a Marlins organization full of young pitching talent headlined, of course, by Sixto Sanchez.
