Rockies 1B Daniel Murphy officially became a free agent on Wednesday. (MLBPlayers.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Murphy and the Rockies had a $12 million mutual option, which Colorado declined. The aging first baseman will receive a $6 million buyout instead. Murphy hit just .236 with three homers in 40 games with the Rockies in 2020. He'll likely have to settle for a one-year deal somewhere.
