J.B. Wendelken blew a save and took the loss on Monday in Game 1 of the ALDS as he allowed four runs, none earned, on three hits with one strikeout over 2/3 of an inning in the A's 10-5 loss to the Astros.
Fantasy Impact:
Wendelken entered in the sixth inning to protect a 5-3 lead. He got two quick outs before a Marcus Semien error, a mishandled grounder, allowed Josh Reddick to reach base. It all fell apart after that as the Astros recorded three straight hits to take the lead. Officially, Wendelken didn't allow a run as none of them were technically earned but he was still saddled with the blown save and the loss.
