Fantasy Impact:
Cervelli released an official statement on Saturday stating he has retired from baseball. “Today, I want to share my difficult decision I’ve made to end my career as a professional baseball player.” The 34-year-old had a 13-year career playing mainly for the Yankees and Pirates. He might have had a few years left in tank if it weren’t for his concussion history. Cervelli collected 605 hits while slashing .268/.358/.382 with 41 home runs, 275 RBI, 281 runs scored and 17 stolen bases over 2,618 plate appearances during his career.
