Jeremy Jeffress pitched the seventh inning of Saturday's game against the White Sox, giving up one hit while striking out one. The Cubs lost, 9-5.
Fantasy Impact:
Jeffress had not pitched in a while, so he was getting in some work with the Cubs behind. Assuming that Jeffress doesn't pitch Sunday, he finishes 2020 with a 1.54 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, eight saves, and 17 strikeouts in 23 and 1/3 innings. He was one of the few great waiver wire pickups this year.
