Sam Coonrod blew the save and took a loss in Game 2 of the Giants doubleheader against the Padres when he allowed three runs on two hits with a walk and a strikeout over 1/3 of an inning.
Fantasy Impact:
Coonrod entered in the bottom of the seventh to protect a two-run lead but only recorded one out before surrendering a three-run walk off homer to Trent Grisham. Giants manager Gabe Kapler has insisted on using Coonrod in high-leverage situations all year despite the reliever's propensity to give up runs. He's got a 9.82 ERA and 1.64 across 14 2/3 innings.
